El Manchester City se confirma la primera posición del Grupo G ante de un empate a 0 en Dortmund, en un encuentro donde lo hizo todo para ganar. [Es/En]
Comenzar la fase de grupos de la Champions con 3 victorias consecutivas y 9 puntos de 9 te permite ciertas ventajas que siempre son bienvenidas. Después de esta racha inicial de victorias en la máxima categoría del futbol europeo, el Manchester City se dio el lujo de empatar dos partidos a 0 y terminar como primero del Grupo G a falta de un partido por disputar. Aunque, para ser justos, hay que decir que en ambos encuentros los Citizens merecieron más. En Copenhague se jugó 60 minutos con 10, pero hubo superioridad en peligro de gol. Anoche, en Dortmund, ya con 11, sucedió algo similar.

El alemán cumplió muy bien en su debut, y aún más con la presión que siempre tare una competición europea. Hay alternativa por suerte bajo palos de sobras. En la línea defensiva, Stones y Aké sustituían a Akanji y Laporte, mientras que más arriba llegaba el turno de Gündogan, Foden y Julián Álvarez, que entraban por De Bruyne, Bernardo Silva y Grealish. Seguramente, el transcurso entre el minuto 45 y el 70 fue el mejor momento del City, que hizo lo posible para abrir el marcador, pero no se pudo. A 20 minutos del final, la intensidad del encuentro se relajaron. Los skyblues siguieron dominando el partido con posesiones larguísimas, pero no llegaron más chances de gol claras. El sábado el City se jugará a domicilio a un Leicester City muy en forma. El conjunto de Brendan Rogers empezó algo flojo la premier, pero han sumado 7 puntos de 9 en los últimos tres partidos. Después llegará el último encuentro de la fase de grupos de la Champions League. El miércoles 2 de noviembre, recibiremos al Sevilla en el Etihad Stadium, en un partido en el que ambos equipos no se jugarán nada. El City ya se estableció la primera plaza de grupo, mientras que los andaluces son terceros matemáticamente e irán a la Europa League.
